Arsenal supporters wasted no time creating a new chant for Eberechi Eze after the winger completed his summer 2025 switch from Crystal Palace.

At one point, it looked as though Eze might cross the North London divide to join Tottenham Hotspur, with the Lilywhites reportedly close to a deal before Arsenal swooped in at the last moment.

Joining the Gunners was perhaps inevitable for the England international, who grew up supporting Arsenal and had even been part of their academy until being released at 13.

Eze was introduced to the fans ahead of Arsenal’s first home game of the 2025-26 season – against Leeds United – at the Emirates Stadium, and the crowd quickly welcomed him with a chant that celebrated their gain while teasing their rivals.

The tune, inspired by Michael Buble’s “Sway,” immediately caught on and as become even more popular among the Gunners faithful.

Since making his debut in a 1-0 loss to Liverpool, Eze has impressed on a regular basis, scoring his first goal for the club in the Carabao Cup against Port Vale and providing key assists against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.

The midfielder’s first Premier League goal for the Gunners came against his former side, Crystal Palace, a strike he celebrated with restraint out of respect.

The 27-year-old also netted a hat-trick in the November 2025 North London Derby against the very team he turned down.

In this article, we look at the full lyrics of Eberechi Eze's song, which has become one of the most popular Arsenal chants.

Eberechi Eze chant lyrics and tune

Eze's chant is sung to the tune of ‘Sway' by Dean Martin, with the following lyrics:

“We can hear them crying at the Lane,

Ebere Eze, he scores again,

One call with Mik Arteta he said ‘wow',

F**k off Tottenham, I’m a Gooner now!”

Eze’s favourite song and its significance to his Arsenal journey

While we have looked into Eze’s chant, we thought it fitting to delve into the former Crystal Palace man’s favourite song and its significance to his journey at Arsenal.

For many supporters, the song became linked to Eze the moment his move to Arsenal was confirmed.

The song featured prominently in his announcement video, with the repeated line “let it all work out” setting the tone as he was unveiled at the Emirates shortly before a thumping win.

The track has followed Eze for some time, reflecting a career shaped by patience and perseverance after being released by Arsenal at a young age.

He has been seen quietly mouthing the lyrics before walking out in front of a packed stadium, while it also played during private celebrations following Crystal Palace’s FA Cup success.

FGG says

It's not exactly the most original of chants – in fact, it's almost a word-for-word copy of Liverpool's Federico Chiesa song – but Arsenal fans won't really care. Indeed, the idea of it winding a few Liverpool fans up for its lack of originality is probably a bonus.

Catchy chants rarely remain the domain of one club for long nowadays, and Arsenal are not the first or last to fit this tune around one of their players; it's the latest song sweeping through stadiums up and down the country right now.

Throw in the opportunity to poke fun at Spurs too, and this makes it a pretty perfect chant for Gooners.
