Eberechi Eze’s time at Arsenal so far has not quite lived up to the expectations, but the England international, to some extent, has given supporters plenty to smile about since his highly celebrated move from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2025.

There has always been a story behind this one — Eze returning to the boyhood club that released him at the age of 13 in what felt like a picture-perfect homecoming, one which came with added significance given the potential for derby bragging rights against their fiercest rivals.

At one point, it looked like he might end up at Tottenham Hotspur, with the Lilywhites reportedly closing in before Arsenal swooped in late to seal the deal.

Five of his six Premier League goals this season have come against Spurs, including a hat-trick at the Emirates Stadium in November 2025 and a brace in the reverse fixture in February 2026.

Those moments alone have given Arsenal fans something to celebrate, with Eze's chant echoing around the stadium whenever he gets the better of their fiercest rivals. 

As such, the tune, inspired by Michael Buble’s song Sway, has become one of the most popular chants among the Gunners faithful.

For many supporters, the song became linked to Eze the moment his move to Arsenal was confirmed.
