Liverpool will face off against a familiar face on Wednesday evening, when they travel to Istanbul to take on Dirk Kuyt's Fenerbahce at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in the Champions League.

Andoni Iraola's Reds have produced a perfect start to the 2026-27 league phase, though they will need to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday.

Fans of the Merseysiders will need to be at their loudest to make their voices heard at the ground, though supporters are sure to pack out the best pubs in Istanbul whether they have a ticket to this match or not.

Fenerbahce vs. Liverpool away day cost breakdown

Liverpool's 1943-ticket allocation to this match was sold at £38.20 each, slightly below the UEFA cap, though a resale ticket would set you back significantly more – especially at such short notice.

By far the biggest expense for Reds fans heading over to watch this match is the flight to Istanbul, with a return to Sabiha Gökçen airport from Manchester varying wildly depending on when it was booked.

In general, supporters are looking at a price in the region of £275 for the cheapest flights at this stage, though they will have to compromise by travelling at unusual hours. Make sure to add on another £20 or so for the trip from Liverpool to Manchester Airport.

Next up on the list is a one-night stay in Istanbul, with £50 enough for a night in a three-star hotel in Kadikoy, the area around Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

When fans get situated in the city, they should take the time to enjoy the local cuisine, with plenty of great spots to grab a bite to eat in town without breaking the bank. Food for one person for a day and night will likely run up around £45.

Fans can make use of public transport to get around, with an Istanbulkart card – available from airports for just £2.70 – bringing fares for a single trip down to roughly 75p.

However, it is definitely more convenient for newcomers to Istanbul to take taxis during their short stay, even if they will need to budget around £30 for them.

Bringing the away day cost to a total of £492 is travel insurance, which would cost in the region of £24 for mid-range coverage, and another tenner for miscellaneous expenses such as snacks, a drink or extra mobile data.
