Fresh footage of Wrexham's Kop Stand has captured another day of progress at the Racecourse Ground, with contractors continuing work on the expansion on Saturday.
The video shows contractors continuing work across the site, with the weekend activity prompting discussion among supporters.
The latest work forms part of the wider transformation of the Racecourse Ground under co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, with a major new roof milestone reached earlier in the week as cranes lifted steelwork into position and work on the glazing and cladding at the rear of the stand continued.
Kop Stand concrete and painting works continue at the Racecourse Ground
According to a video from the Wrexham AFC World YouTube channel, filmed on Saturday, October 10, contractors were working across the site despite it being the weekend.
One of the most noticeable areas of activity was near The Turf, where workers could be seen spreading, levelling and finishing fresh concrete close to the corner of the stadium.
Painting work was also continuing elsewhere, with contractors carrying out further construction and finishing tasks as work on the new stand progresses.
The channel also showed other construction activity around the site, indicating that work was continuing across different parts of the project.
The Kop Stand is being developed to increase capacity at the Racecourse Ground and provide Wrexham supporters with a modern new home end, with the Wrexham AFC World channel regularly sharing updates on everything from steelwork and roofing to cladding, groundworks and finishing touches.
Wrexham fans react to Kop Stand concrete works near The Turf
The latest footage prompted discussion among Wrexham supporters, with viewers offering different explanations for the excavation near The Turf.
One commenter suggested the work could involve checking underground utilities or foundations, adding that “not everything is nefarious”.
However, one viewer questioned why the work had attracted little attention until the hole was completed, writing that “it seems a bit strange that no-one knew what was going on until the hole was completed”. Another supporter asked whether fans leaving the Kop after matches would be able to walk through the area.
FGG says: Weekend work shows the Kop project is moving forward
While concrete finishing and painting may attract less attention than cranes lifting roof steel into place, they remain important parts of the Kop Stand's construction. The latest footage shows work continuing across the site, although questions remain over the excavation near The Turf.
With supporters following each development closely, further clarification from Wrexham about the work and access arrangements around the area on matchdays would help address some of those concerns.
