Leeds United kicked off their 2026/27 pre-season tour of the United States of America with a 3-2 defeat to Wrexham at the Raymond James Stadium on 26 July, 2026, and attention is now turning to their upcoming friendly clash with Premier League opponents Sunderland.

Daniel Farke's side will travel to the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, to face the Black Cats on 31 July, 2026, and the Whites will be eager to secure their first win of pre-season following the loss to Wrexham.

Tens of thousands of Leeds United fans are expected to attend the game at the Sports Illustrated Stadium, whether that be travelling or local supporters, while there will also be countless fans around the area without a ticket to the match who will be showing their support.

The Blitz Sportbar is located just a 10-minute drive from the Sports Illustrated Stadium and is a regular venue for supporters in the area, known for a friendly welcome, pool table and reasonably priced drinks.

Redd's Biergarten is also just a 10-minute drive from the stadium and is a sports bar often popular before and during events at the Sports Illustrated Arena, while it also has a large beer garden to enjoy your day at.

Three Levels Lounge & Sports Bar – 218 Mulberry St, Newark, NJ 07102

Three Levels Lounge & Sports Bar, located a nine-minute drive from the Sports Illustrated Stadium, is another established pre-match option that will also show the football and allow supporters without a ticket to still experience the matchday atmosphere.

Football Factory at Legends – 6 W 33rd St, New York, NY 10001

Football Factory at Legends may not be in New Jersey, instead located a 44-minute drive away from the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New York, but the venue is known as the home of several supporters groups in the area on matchdays, including Leeds United's ‘New York Whites' group.

Ahead of travelling to Tampa for their opening pre-season friendly against Wrexham, Leeds United announced a 30-man squad for their tour of the United States of America.

The club stated that some of these players would join up later in the tour after competing at the 2026 World Cup, while Noah Okafor will not be present in the USA after being granted an extended break following Switzerland's run to the quarter-finals in the summer tournament.
