Linz

Hauptplatz is the obvious place to start.

The large central square is surrounded by historic buildings, cafes and restaurants and is dominated by the 20-metre-high Trinity Column, which was erected in the early 18th century.

Postlingberg

Postlingberg is the hill overlooking Linz and provides excellent views across the city and the Danube.

Getting to Linz

Vienna is around 185km from Linz, while Salzburg is around 130km away. Both cities have direct rail connections to Linz, making the onward journey relatively straightforward.
