Having joined Borussia Dortmund almost 12 years ago in 2012, this Marco Reus tifo is undoubtedly more than deserved.

Not quite a one-club man but without a doubt a Borussia Dortmund legend, the German international has understandably endeared himself to fans of the team over the past decade. His dedication, loyalty and desire to take the side as far as he possibly could ensured he developed a fantastic relationship with the supporters.
In an era during which many of the club's best players, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Robert Lewandowski and more recently Jude Bellingham for example, have all eventually departed the club, there has been one ever-present constant – and his name is Marco Reus.
As a result, supporters were keen to give him a fantastic send-off at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, May 18. A tifo reading “Danke Marco!”, which translates to ‘thank you Marco!', was unveiled ahead of kick-off.
Marco Reus announces his departure
The forward announced his departure from the club on May 3, releasing an emotional statement via the club's official website. He said: “Dear BVB supporters. I was allowed to play in this wonderful stadium for 12 years. I’ve dedicated half of my life to this club with many highs and lows. It was mainly highs, I’d say.
“The club and I have come to the decision not to extend my contract. It made me incredibly proud and I’m incredibly grateful to have been able to play for this club for so many years.
“It’s quite hard for me right now to find the right words nevertheless, it’s important for me to tell you fans first. We also have a big goal in sight. We want to go to Wembley.”

A number of supporters flocked to social media with words of praise following the unveiling of the Marco Reus tifo. Comments of “Legend”, “Great player” and “Pure loyalty” were rife, with many keen to pay respects to his incredible stint at the club.
One supporter even took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their hopes of a fairytale send-off in the Champions League final, saying: “I think we all can agree on that the whole world bar Real Madrid supporters will be cheering for Dortmund to win it on June 1st, it'll be a legendary moment in football history for Mr. Reus himself- the unhatable club man!”
