Vitality Stadium redevelopment latest update as fresh Bournemouth footage shows ‘significant’ progress

AFC Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium redevelopment is continuing to gather pace, with the latest footage showing major structural work taking shape around the ground.

With the club targeting a capacity increase from 11,300 to 20,200, the latest progress suggests the ambitious project is beginning to transform Dean Court at an increasing rate.

Vitality Stadium south-east corner is progressing at speed

The south-east corner is currently one of the busiest areas of the redevelopment, with substantial steelwork now being installed alongside a new lift shaft.

The north-west corner is also progressing, with its lift shaft now in place and foundations prepared for the next stage of steelwork.

Bournemouth have extended construction hours to include both Saturdays and Sundays as they look to accelerate the project, while work is continuing across several other areas of the stadium.

The club shop is nearing completion, with point-of-sale units being installed inside, while the new modular ticket office and administration buildings now have air conditioning.

Elsewhere, foundations and cabinets are being installed for the new outside broadcast facility, while pedestrian routes around the stadium are being altered as construction continues.

Landscaping work is also taking place in the South Stand car park as the club prepares for further changes to matchday infrastructure.

The latest footage also highlights the increased focus on cycling around the stadium, with Bournemouth looking to provide more options for supporters travelling to games.
