Football away days are amazing, they are an altogether different experience from home matches and for many fans, a superior one.
However, the combination of long journeys and what can sometimes turn into a few too many drinks during the day can often be too much for some travelling supporters to handle. This regularly updated article will run you through some of the funniest moments involving away day sleepers.

‘He's got a pint glass on his head…' – England fans prank Euro 2024 supporter

Spirits were high in the city of Frankfurt ahead of the Three Lions' clash with Denmark, and this group of England fans took the opportunity to play a prank on a fellow Brit. The Brit in question appeared to have had a little too much to drink and was asleep on a doorstep.
After placing a pint glass on the fan's head, the group of supporters then slowly added to the glass with beer from their own. In the background, chants of “He's got a pint glass on his head” could be heard.
Remarkably, despite all the noise, the sleeping supporter didn't wake up once during the entire video – even when the glass inevitably fell off his head.

Thankfully, the fan saw the funny side of the joke and responded with a retort of his the morning after.
A photo emerged on X, formerly Twitter, in which he posed with another glass on his head, albeit looking far more sober this time around.
It was a reminder of what the England fanbase can bring to a major tournament when violence is put to one side and having a good time is prioritised. If the rest of Europe were exposed to this side of Three Lions supporters more often, then their largely negative opinion of us may slowly start to improve.

As much as we all love a good away day, one aspect that the vast majority of supporters would like to skip from time to time is the excruciatingly early starts that come with them more often than not.
This away day sleeper is certainly one of them, falling asleep on the coach before 5am, although in fairness to him, Portsmouth to Middlesborough is one of the longest journeys any fanbase in the English Football League will have to make this season.
A few too many?

Beers inevitably flow on an away day, with many fans starting their pre-match festivities before they even arrive at the location in question.
This group of Newcastle supporters met up the night before the game, setting off for Bournemouth at 2:30am – now that is some serious dedication towards following your team.
However, the sun had barely risen before this away day sleeper was pictured getting some shut-eye with half a bottle of beer in his hand less than four hours after the group's journey had begun.
