Liverpool Carabao Cup final tickets: Buying guide

Update: Liverpool provide ticket clarification

Liverpool FC have confirmed that 35,993 qualifying supporters entered the ballot for Carabao Cup final tickets, with notifications sent out on 20 February. Successful applicants can purchase tickets from 11 am on Friday, 21 February. The club received an allocation of 32,210 tickets for the 16 March final against Newcastle United at Wembley.

Despite a 6% decrease in ballot success rates due to increased guaranteed sales, 73% of tickets remain allocated to general supporters, the same as last year. The remaining distribution includes 17% for contractual supporters, 9% for officials, players, and media, and 1% for commercial partners.

Fans are urged to buy tickets only through the club, and strict checks are in place to prevent resale. Digital ticketing will be used again, with tickets available for download from “My Account” the week before the game. Unauthorised ticket transfers or sales may result in lifetime bans.

Supporters without tickets are advised not to travel to London.

Liverpool Carabao Cup final allocation

Liverpool have been allocated 32,196 tickets for the Carabao Cup final, 31,939 of which are standard seats and 257 designated for disabled supporters.

As ever, the allocation has come under fire from supporters. This figure is barely one-third of Wembley's capacity, which means around one-third of spectators in attendance in March aren't necessarily going to be Liverpool or Newcastle fans.

The number of Liverpool tickets for this match is identical to the number the club received for last year's final against Chelsea.

Liverpool Carabao Cup final sales process

Liverpool have informed supporters of how they plan to distribute their allocation of tickets. The sales process is as follows:

  • 12/02/25 – 14/02/25: Priority Right Holders
  • 14/02/25 – 17/02/25: Liverpool season ticket holders and/or members who have attended three or more Carabao Cup matches this season.

Supporters who qualify via the above criteria are guaranteed a ticket for the final. All remaining tickets will then be subject to a ballot for season ticket holders and/or members who have attended two Carabao Cup matches this season.

Eligible fans can register for the ballot from midday on 11/02/25 until 7:30 on 13/02/25. Fans who are successful in the ballot will then have the opportunity to purchase tickets from 11:00 on 21/02/2025 until 7:30 on 24/02/25.

If any tickets remain after the above process, then a further sale will take place for those unsuccessful in the ballot. Liverpool anticipates the ballot being heavily oversubscribed.
