Huddersfield Town have made a series of improvements to the Accu Stadium ahead of the new League One season, with supporters set to benefit from upgrades across the ground.

The changes focus on improving safety, accessibility and the overall matchday experience as the Terriers prepare for their first home game of the 2026/27 campaign.

Huddersfield Town introduce safe standing and other fan upgrades

New safe-standing sections have been installed in both the home and away areas of the South Stand, with the club hoping the changes will help improve the atmosphere while providing a safer matchday environment.

The Terriers Together family stand has also received a makeover, with new internal graphics celebrating Huddersfield Town's history and adding more club identity to the supporter areas.

Accessibility has been another key focus, with P-rails installed in the Riverside and Terriers Together upper tiers alongside a new access ramp in the South Stand.

Outside the stadium, the fan zone has been reconfigured with additional shelter, improved landscaping and a redesigned bar area.

The changes should provide better protection from the weather while also improving the flow of supporters around the space.

Huddersfield have also installed larger LED advertising boards around the pitch, while new security bollards have been added to improve access control around the site.

The improvements extend beyond the first-team stadium, with a new 4G pitch installed at Canal Side for the women's team and academy.

Cosmetic work has also taken place, including fresh paint on the floodlight pillars and trusses.

FGG says: Huddersfield are making the Accu Stadium a better experience for fans

This is exactly the sort of investment that can make a noticeable difference on matchday without requiring a major redevelopment.

Safe standing, improved accessibility and a better fan zone all directly benefit supporters, while the upgraded facilities for the academy and women's team show the club is thinking beyond the first team.

With Huddersfield looking to make a return to the Championship, having a modern and welcoming stadium can only help build momentum around the club.
