Crystal Palace were founded 120 years ago and they are a team with a rich history, but until last season, they have never won a major trophy.

This month, they will play for their third trophy in just two years and, for the first time ever, they will have a chance to win a European competition.

The Eagles will meet with Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final on 27 May, at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.

In this article, we will go through some of the best hotels and accommodation for Crystal Palace fans in Leipzig.

Where to stay near the Red Bull Arena for Crystal Palace fans

The Red Bull Arena is located near Leipzig's city centre (Zentrum), so Crystal Palace fans who plan to travel to Leipzig don't really have to choose between staying near the stadium or the city centre.

The stadium is approximately 2.5 km away from Zentrum and well-connected by public transportation, most of which takes around 20 minutes. You can even walk to the stadium, which would take around 30 minutes.

That being said, when it comes to hotels and accommodation, you won't be able to find any really cheap options, especially at the time of the Conference League final since many of the more affordable alternatives have already been booked.

Still, there is a range of options to choose from, so let's take a closer look at some of them.

KNAUS Campingpark Leipzig

This is one of the more affordable options on our list and also one of the more interesting ones, since we're talking about renting a bungalow at a campsite.

The campsite is not that close to the Red Bull Arena (approx. 7 km), but if you prefer staying in nature (the campsite is surrounded by woods and a lake), then this is the option for you.

The bungalows are cosy, clean, and include modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, a microwave, and a TV. They also include a patio, allowing you to sit outdoors and take in the fresh air.

Price for two nights (26-28 May): £242

Motel One Leipzig-Augustusplatz

Motel One Leipzig-Augustplatz is located in the very centre of the city, at the beautiful Augustusplatz Square, five minutes from the Leipzig Central Station.

This motel has a modern bar, where an optional breakfast buffet is served. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV and air conditioning, as well as free Wi-Fi.

Price for two nights (26-28 May): £372

Dorint Hotel Leipzig

This is a 4-star hotel, located around 15 minutes from east of the Leipzig city centre, on foot. So, it's still a very good location.

Dorint Hotel has elegant and comfortable rooms that include satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a tea/coffee maker, and a private bathroom.

There is also a cosy restaurant that serves international cuisine, where you can have a buffet breakfast, and a beautiful summer terrace.

Price for two nights (26-28 May): £430-530

Hotel Arena City

This is a modern 4-star hotel perfectly positioned next to the Red Bull Arena, while also being just a 10-minute walk from Leipzig’s vibrant inner city and Leipzig Zoo.

The hotel provides soundproofed rooms, which come with a flat-screen TV, black-out curtains, and stylish bathrooms with large showers.

The hotel also boasts a relaxing wellness area with a modern sauna and a variety of massage treatments. A rich continental buffet breakfast is served every morning, which is included in the price, and an Italian restaurant is conveniently located within the same building.

Price for two nights (26-28 May): £1,078-1,198

FGG says: Not many options left

With the Conference League final approaching quickly, the number of available options for Crystal Palace fans is not great, particularly in the city centre and around the stadium.

So, it's best to react quickly and book your accommodation as soon as possible.

Ever since watching the first Partizan game as a child, Vladimir was hooked to football, although his love for sports doesn't stop there as Vladimir also enjoys basketball and tennis, among other sports. That passion for different ball games led to his desire to write about sports in any capacity, which Vladimir has been doing for many years.
