How to get Manchester City tickets: What you need to know

Manchester City's dominance on the field over the past ten years has seen increasing demand for tickets at the Etihad to see star names like Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva.

Pep Guardiola's side is the team that everyone wants to watch these days, and for good reason. They rarely disappoint, scoring plenty of goals and entertaining. As a result, it seems harder to get a ticket for a game, whether that be for a Premier League match, a Champions League match, or one of the Cup competitions that the Citizens take part in.

Here is how to get Man City tickets at the Etihad Stadium.

How to get Man City tickets

If it is your first time booking Man City tickets, note that the Citizens have a unique pricing strategy that allows booking tickets for both home and away matches. Most importantly, you can book Man City tickets in three ways, as outlined below.

Season tickets

The only way to guarantee a ticket for every home Manchester City match is to get your hands on a Man City season ticket. At present, the club have 37,500 season ticket holders after they introduced new Flexi-Gold season ticket to members ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Even more season tickets are on the horizon, too. Once the North Stand development is completed, the vast majority of general admission tickets in the expanded stand will be sold as season tickets.

Current season ticket prices at the Etihad Stadium are as follows:

Family Stand

  • Adults: £490 – £645
  • Under 18s: £110 – £146
  • 18-21s: £320 – £430
  • Over 65s: £305 – £325
  • Disabled: £320 – £430

The Colin Bell Stand

  • Adults: £490 – £1030
  • Under 18s: £165- £330
  • 18-21s: £320 – £690
  • Over 65s: £320 – £510
  • Disabled: £320 – £690

South Stand

  • Adults: £385 – £730
  • Under 18s: £165 – £230
  • 18-21s: £255 – £500
  • Over 65s: £255 – £370
  • Disabled: £255 – £500

East Stand

  • Adults: £615 – £980
  • Under 18s: £200 – £315
  • 18-21s: £420 – £655
  • Over 65s: £345 – £485
  • Disabled: £420 – £655

General tickets

General tickets – for a standard seat at the Etihad for any matchday – regularly sell out at the Etihad, and unlike a lot of other clubs, Man City sell their individual tickets well in advance rather than in the immediate run-up to each one.

The club operates a loyalty scheme for members and non-members, which generally means the more matches you attend, the better chance you give yourself of getting tickets for more matches down the line.

Naturally, matches against Manchester United and Liverpool are most in demand and therefore require the most loyalty points.

To start building your points, you will first have to buy tickets for unglamorous fixtures, such as cup games against lower-league opposition.

‘Bar' ticket

These tickets are a little easier to get but more expensive. The exact price depends on who Manchester City is playing. For example, for the game against Aston Villa on April 26, 2025, the fee will start from £280. whereas, against Tottenham in November, Bar tickets start from £300.

But what do you get when paying the premium for a ‘Bar' ticket?

  • Match ticket
  • Access to premium food and drinks
  • Relaxed atmosphere
  • Padded seats

It's up to you if that's worth it or not.

Hospitality

For fans who want to have a unique and memorable experience at Etihad Stadium, hospitality tickets are for you. However, these offers are often pricey, so be ready to spend even ten times more than the regular tickets. The fact that Etihad hospitality tickets cater for all the packages you will enjoy from the VIP area also means the prices differ.

With that, always go through the available packages at Etihad before setting on the most ideal offer. These could range from watching Man City matches at the premier sports bar to fine dining at the club restaurant to enjoying an executive treat in VIP lounges.

Note that on the Manchester City official website, hospitality reservations at the Etihad Stadium can be made match-by-match. Moreover, prices may vary depending on the competition for which you are booking a VIP treatment.  For example, European competitions such as the UEFA Champions would set you back more than VIP tickets for Premier League matches.

One key benefit is that these tickets are available for nearly every game, so if you wish to watch the game in style, you can. Here is exactly what you get for a ‘Hospitality' ticket.

  • Match Ticket
  • Premium padded & heated seats
  • Fine dining
  • Luxury surroundings

Away tickets

Away tickets are only ever available to season ticket holders, due to the demand for them far outweighing the supply. The club operates a loyalty point system for away matches, with priority naturally being given for those with the most points. The more games you attend, the higher the chance you have of getting into a Man City away end.

European away tickets

Manchester City European away tickets are more accessible than domestic away tickets due to the costs involved in following City around Europe. As a result, there are occasions where tickets will drop down to official Man City members, and sometimes even general sale. These opportunities should be taken by any supporter who has aspirations of building a healthy number of loyalty points with the club.

Generally speaking, though, European away tickets are sold in a staggered away. For example, supporters with the most loyalty points will be given a window to buy tickets before all remaining tickets are then offered to supporters in the next loyalty bracket, and so on and so forth until all tickets are sold.

Manchester City Women's Tickets

The increasingly popular Women's Super League has more readily available tickets at a cheaper price than the men's games.

Manchester City Women's games are played at the Academy Stadium, a smaller venue in the shadow of the Etihad. It's still a great place to watch football.

There are mainly two types of Manchester City Women's tickets. You can buy Manchester Women's tickets on a match-by-match basis and from as low as £10. Matchgoers are allowed to purchase up to six tickets, but it is recommended that you assign each to the attending fan to help them build a ticketing history with the club. This is because some Manchester City Women's tickets will be sold based on a loyalty point system, so the more you have purchased, the better.

However, if you wish to spend a little more and get some luxury treatment, go for the Manchester City Women's hospitality tickets. Fill in the form on the hospitality booking page to send an email requesting a pricing quote. Some notable benefits that come with watching Manchester City Women's matches as a hospitality ticket holder include:

  • Pre-match hospitality in the City Football Academy
  • Three-course meal
  • Selective drinks package (beer, wine, soft drinks)
  • Padded seat on the halfway line

How to purchase disabled tickets at the Etihad

For those who require a disabled ticket when attending the ground, it is worth noting that you will need a membership with the club to do so. Once you have ticked that box, you must email the following address: [email protected] with eligible evidence.

The club currently accept five different forms of evidence, which are as follows:

  • A Disability Living Allowance statement as issued by the Department of Work & Pensions
  • Enhanced rate of Personal Independence Payment
  • Receipt of Severe Disablement Allowance or Attendance Allowance
  • Blind or Partially Sighted Registration Certificate
  • An Access Card or alternative supporting document

Fans who reside outside the United Kingdom are advised to use the equivalent documents from their own country.

Despite popular belief, getting tickets for Man City games isn't easy or cheap, as you can see via our extensive guide above. Therefore, the best option for you might be to simply watch the Blues in action on television from the comfort of your own home or at the local pub.

As one of the biggest and best teams in the Premier League, Man City are selected for live coverage on TV almost every week, so a subscription to Sky Sports and TNT Sports should have you covered for the majority of the campaign.
