The signing of Kieran Trippier back in 2022 was a significant one for Newcastle as it marked the beginning of a new era at St James' Park under the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Trippier was the first player to join the club under the new ownership, and considering the club was embroiled in a relegation battle at the time, it was far from a risk-free move for the full-back, who was enjoying his football at Atletico Madrid at the time.
That decision to make a leap of faith instantly endeared him to Newcastle supporters, so it's no surprise that they also have a chant for the player.

Kieran Trippier chant, lyrics and tune
The Kieran Trippier chant uses a generic football chant tune, which you have to hear to understand. We've attached a video below, but for now, here are the lyrics:
Kieran Trippier, over the wall
Kieran Trippier, over the wall
Kieran Trippier, over the wall
Kieran Trippier, over the wall

There isn't an awful lot to say about this chant other than it is about Trippier's ability from dead-ball situations, specifically free-kicks.
The full-back scored one of the most famous free-kicks in English football history during the World Cup semi-finals back in 2018, so it's not a huge surprise that Newcastle fans elected to use his skills in this regard as inspiration for Trippier's football chant.
The fact that Trippier scored two free-kicks for Newcastle in just his second month for the club also helped to create this narrative that he is a dead-ball specialist.

FGG says: One of the worst chants ever created
Without going overboard, this has got to be up there with one of the worst football chants I've ever heard. Newcastle fans have some great chants in their songbook, too, such as the Dan Burn chant and the Joelinton chant, but this one is just lazy and a little bit bizarre.
