Sunderland have returned to the Premier League after a nine-year absence, having plummeted to League One in that time. The Black Cats clinched promotion by defeating Sheffield United in the playoff final, defying their underdog status.
Despite their Wembley triumph, they couldn’t retain star talent Jude Bellingham, who moved to Borussia Dortmund. Still, bolstered by significant summer signings, Sunderland aim to cement their place in the top flight, which would be a major achievement for a playoff-promoted side.
To avoid relegation, their home performances will be crucial. On the road, most games will be seen as “free hits” or bonus points, but backed by their fans on the road, Sunderland will have their chances to get some points from away games as well.
In this article, FGG provides Sunderland's away fixtures for the 2025-26 Premier League season.
