Much to the dismay of rival fans, Manchester City supporters have become rather accustomed to winning football matches in the last 10 years or so, particularly since the arrival of Pep Guardiola.
As such, more and more chants have been hitting the terraces at the Eithad, with every piece of silverware providing more and more content for potential songs.
With that in mind, here are the lyrics to some of the most famous Manchester City football chants, including ‘Blue Moon' and ‘Boys in Blue'.

Widely considered the club's anthem, Manchester City fans sing ‘Blue Moon' before every single game, with the tune expectedly being at its noisiest when sung at the Etihad.
The song, which was originally written in 1934, has been adopted by many artists over the years, including the one and only Frank Sinatra and was first sung by ‘Cityzens' all the way back in the 1980s.
Lyrics to the classic Manchester City football chant are as follows:
Blue Moon,
You saw me standing alone, Whitout a dream in my heart, Without a love of my own.Blue Moon,
You knew just what I was there for, You heard me saying a prayer for, Someone I could really care for, Then suddenly they'll appear before me, The only one my arms could ever hold, I heard someone whisper “Please adore me”, And when I looked my moon had turned to gold.Blue Moon,
now I'm no longer alone, I have a dream in my heart, I have a love of my own.Boys in Blue
Believe it or not, ‘Boys in Blue' was actually the anthem of Manchester City before ‘Blue Moon', having been originally written in 1972 by a famous band '10cc'. Even after all those years, the song remains a huge part of the club's culture and is regularly sung at City games throughout the season.
It has been around for decades and will likely be around for many more, so you will want to learn the lyrics, which are as follows:
Invisible man
Although the ‘Invisible Man' chant is mainly used by Manchester City fans to mock the inaccurate myth that the club ‘has no fans', it was originally sung by the fanbase in the 1990s.
It is widely believed that it was first heard during an away game at Millwall when City supporters had been banned from attending as punishment for violent behaviour in a previous meeting.
The official lyrics for the chant are as follows:
We're not really here,
We're not really here,
Just like the fans of The Invisible Man,
We're not really here.
The Best Team in the Land
The next Manchester City football chant to make the list is their famous ‘The Best Team in the Land' chant – and there has very rarely been a team more deserving of such a titled song.
Referencing their several league and domestic cup triumphs, the tune is a reminder of the powerhouses City have transformed into under the watchful eye of Guardiola.
The official lyrics of the chant are as follows:
City, City, the best team in the land,
And all the world,
The best team in the land,
We've won the league, we've won the Cup,
We're the famous Manchester City, and we're going up.

Another chant which provides City supporters with the opportunity to flex their muscles a little bit, this song pays respect to the unsung heroes of Manchester City's success in recent years – the defenders.
Players such as Ederson, John Stones, and Kyle Walker are all included, and it is an absolute belter that gets fans up off their feet.
Sung to the tune of the smash hit ‘Ryhtm is a Dancer', the lyrics of the chant are as follows:
“Ederson and Ake,
Walker and Akanji,
Ruben Dias, Johnny Stones,
Best defence in Europe,
We're Manchester City.
We just won in Istanbul!
Woah,
We're the boys in blue,
Woaah,
Coming after you,
Woah…
