Preton North End began the 2025/26 campaign with last season's scars still fresh, having narrowly escaped relegation in 2024/25 by a single point. Much of the struggle stemmed from a poor away record, just three wins in 23 matches on the road, where they conceded far too often and lacked the consistency to grind out results. That fragile away form almost cost them their second-tier status, so improving on their travels should be a top priority for the manager this season.
Early signs suggest there is some progress in away performances. There is a more disciplined approach to away matches compared to the lacklustre away displays of the last campaign. If they can turn narrow margins into consistent points on the road, Preston's away form could be the difference between another survival scrap and a push toward mid-table security this year.
With that in mind, here is a guide to all 23 of Preston's away fixtures for this season.
