Shrewsbury started the 2024-25 season with six losses in their first seven games, and things didn't get much better for them in the rest of the season, which is why they finished last in the League One standings.
The Shrews tried changing the manager twice to give the team a fighting chance, but that didn't help either. So, the Shrews will play in League Two next season, for the first time since 2015.
The first away day for Shrewsbury fans will be at Tranmere in the second round of the 2025-26 season, while they will travel to Gillingham on the final matchday of the season.
