Walsall's 2025/26 campaign on the road has already served up a mix of frustration and encouragement, giving supporters a taste of what might lie ahead this season. Their opening away trip to Priestfield ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat against Gillingham, yet just a week later, they showed their resilience by bouncing back with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Barnet, securing their first three points away from home.
All in all, Walsall have started this season in good form, with four wins in six league games. That includes two wins in three away games, the last one of which was against MK Dons, one of the main candidates for promotion to League One this season. This win certainly showed that Walsall have the potential to fight for promotion as well, but they will have to keep this away form running going forward.
With a long season of tricky away days ahead, early signs suggest fans could be in for a campaign where the Saddlers' fortunes on the road play a decisive role in shaping their promotion ambitions.
Walsall have also shown a lot of resilience in the EFL Cup, where they took Stoke City away from home and managed to take the game to penalties, where they eventually couldn't get the win.
The team's next road game is in the EFL Trophy against Shrewsbury, before coming back home for a duel with Chesterfield in League Two.
Here, FGG gives you the rundown of when Walsall's away fixtures will take place.
